7 Facts You Need To Know About Samsung Galaxy Z

Samsung recently has launched its latest phone model called Galaxy Z Flip. This phone is basically take after the flip phone model that was once become everyone’s favorite back to years ago. The south-Korean-based technology company also jam-packed this phone with the latest features. However, there are some facts about the Samsung Galaxy Z that you need to consider as a buyer.

1. The quality of the hinges has improved
Samsung decided to adopt Hideaway's hinges that use a kind of fibrous shield to protect the Galaxy Z Flip from dust and dirt as a step to avoid the 'issue' that happened last year. Previously, this hinge problem was one of the weaknesses of Galaxy Fold that has been launching last year. Samsung itself claims that if the Galaxy Z Flip screen can be folded and opened up to more than 200 thousand times.

2. Higher specifications than other competitors
Unlike the Motorola Razr which is more expensive than this Galaxy Z flip, this phone is also equipped with mid-range specifications such as Snapdragon 855+, 8GB RAM, 256GB UFS 3.0 storage and a 3,300mAh battery.

3. You can take selfie without opening the cover
On the outside of the Galaxy Z Flip or rather next to the rear camera, there is something called the Display Cover. This is basically a 1.1-inch mini screen that can display time and date information to call notifications, chat and others. Interestingly, besides being able to be used to show a variety of important notifications, this small screen can also be used as a preview screen for the rear camera. So, in other words, users can take selfies without having to open the Galaxy Z Flip screen.

4. The screen is made of glass

The design of the Galaxy Z Flip is very much different from the Galaxy Fold. Although both can be folded, one of the advantages of the Galaxy Z Flip is the screen cannot be opened completely. Samsung calls this the Flex mode, where the angle of the fold of the screen can be adjusted at will, so that it can be used like a mini laptop. When only half opened for certain applications such as YouTube, cameras and Duo, the 6.7-inch screen will be divided into two. The top part will work as a display and the bottom part as interaction buttons like a keyboard or track pad.

6. You will get Youtube Premium access for free
Google played a big role in the first Unpacked this year, launching a deeper integration of Duo, which allows users to make video calls easily on their Galaxy S20. However, that was not the best announcement from Google this year. The best announcement and the coolest is the Premium Youtube service that will be obtained free of charge for anyone who buys Galaxy Z Flip.

7. Does not have 5G connectivity support
Samsung talked a lot about 5G on Unpacked 2020. So it was a bit surprising to find out that the Galaxy Z Flip is not equipped with 5G. Actually there are many reasons why Samsung did not include 5G support on the Galaxy Z Flip such as the heat factor in the hardware, production costs which of course will have an impact on prices to batteries.
