Android Pie has a new cool feature called Private DNS. WIth DNS over TLS, all of your DNS traffic is encrypted, even if you're on your carrier network.

1.1.1.1 is one of the IPs of CloudFlare's free DNS resolver service. However, in order to use it with Android, you need its hostname equivalent. Just enter the following complete string which resolves to the DNS server address:

1dot1dot1dot1.cloudflare-dns.com
