5G is the 5th generation mobile network. It will elevate the mobile network to interconnect people, machines, objects, and devices. It will play a huge role in connecting all the "Internet of Things" devices. The speed of 5G will be more than 10x faster than 4G/LTE, and each 5G tower will be able to handle more users than the current 4G/LTE towers. With speeds like that, users could potentially drop their home internet connection and simply use their cell provider from now on. This technology has been in the works for a few years now, but this year it will become much more prevalent and accessible. Watch the video to learn more!
