Top things to do with the S Pen in the Galaxy Note 8

Tip 1: Copy content from messages or text:
Use the S Pen button to highlight a part of text received as whatsapp message or any other message and then you can either copy, cut, share or even look up the word for definition using a dictionary option.

Tip 2: Pin S Pen notes to Always on display (not lockscreen)

You can pin your important things to remember or notes to your alwayson display. This way, you can always view your notes even when your phone is completely locked and just lying on the table. The notes are always visible.

To do this, just slide out the S Pen when in locked mode, and then start writing as a screen-off memo and then tap the pin icon on the top left side. That's it.

Tip 3: Use the S Pen to make selections

You can press the button on the S Pen and then select multiple items from your gallery, calendar, SMS and even emails. This allows you to choose quickly and take quick actions.

Tip 4: Link previewer

If you hover your S Pen over a web link, it will show you a preview of that URL without opening or tapping the link

Tip 5: Extract Text using Bixby vision

From the air command menu, just choose Bixby vision and then hover your S Pen over the text area. The bixby vision will automatically identify the window that contains the text which you can still move around and then tap extract to be able to copy the entire text or even part of the text using the S Pen.

Tip 6: Install S Note

while Samsung Notes is pretty good, S Note is even better. It has all the features of Samsung Notes and more than that. S Note lets you draw shapes that get automatically identified. S Note also lets you have different grids in the background and also lets you apply colorful background.
