If you forgot your password (PIN, Swipe code) or your Fingerprint is not working and you forgot your back up pin code or if you are selling your phone, or you need a fresh start then you can do a factory reset. This will delete all your data, settings, photos, videos, music, etc. So if you want to keep anything make sure you back it up before you begin your factory reset. Note that this will not delete or erase anything on your SD card.
