MAKE SURE TO WATCH THIS VIDEO BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING ELSE. I show you how to fix a Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e (will work on Tab S4 and Tab S5 as well) that has a black screen of death, won't restart, won't boot, can't boot, screen won't turn on, screen is blank, can't see display, frozen, unresponsive, etc without taking anything apart.
