Soon after I purchased my Acer Aspire E1-571 (Intel Core i5 3230m 2.6ghz ) in 2014 I installed another 4gb of RAM to take it to 8gb (it's max), and it's served me well ever since.
I keep at least 100gb free on the hard drive, regularly to re-starts, use System Mechanic & Windows10Debloater, and my next upgrade will be to an internal SSD to keep thise work-horse of a PC Laptop running hopefully for another 6 years!
