Getting the maximum performance out of your PC to get the most optimized PUBG performance available is different for every hardware configuration. There are many settings that can be utilized, both in game and in windows, for any config, to make PUBG run better.

Our goal with this video was to answer the questions received on our podcast, The Winner Winner podcast, frequently from players who switch from Console to PC, purchase a pre-built machine, or are relatively new to building a PC. We also wanted to understand how PUBG uses various hardware to have recommendations for experienced builders on which upgrades will have the biggest effect on a smooth PUBG experience.
This guide serves as a first time setup guide and finishes with some key optimizations - please use the timestamps below if you have a specific question:

Graphics Card Drivers

Before doing anything else it is always recommended to make sure the latest Graphics Card drivers are installed. Whether you have an nvidia or AMD card you should visit the website and ensure you have the latest drivers for your card.

Windows Power Settings:
On pre-builts or windows default settings the power settings are typically set wrong. AMD has a number of unique options, we like AMD Ryzen High Performance if you have the option. If that is not available use AMD balanced settings. Intel users will want to verify the power is set to High Performance

Memory Speed Verification
Memory speed is often limited to the default speed that the motherboard has set for it. To ensure your memory is working at the correct clock speed: Access the bios of your PC and then find the setting profile for your RAM and select that.

Free Option for Improving Latency
Haste is a VPN tunneling software (with free options) that allows you to route your connection, through amazon servers, that may improve your connection with PUBG servers if your ISP doesn’t have the best routing currently.

PUBG In-Game Settings:

Graphics
In-Game FPS Cap can be set to display based, unlimited, or custom. This is VERY important to check because if your monitor is not set correctly in windows and it is set to display based you will not be getting the full benefit of your monitor

Anti-Aliasing, Post-Processing, Shadows, Textures, Effects, Foliage, and View Distance. These settings are all heavily dependent on your graphics card and can increase your FPS if you turn them down. However, there are some benefits to increasing a few of the settings. Effects - If you turn this up you will see muzzle flash much easier allowing for easier spotting of enemies.

Keep in mind you can open your task manager when changing around settings to determine when the settings hand off from CPU to GPU. This is hardware specific and some setups will not allow the CPU to render graphics.
