Hey, today I just made a quick video on how to really shut off Cortana. Most articles will show you how to get into the registry editor and do some tweaks within that. What that does is hide Cortana, but not stop it from running in your background tasks and wasting system memory, you could use on something else.

So I made this quick video with an easy fix, on how to quickly and painlessly shut of Cortana for good and stop that extra memory sucking background task.

BUT WE WARNED: This will also disable the search feature on your bottom left. You can either get a program to do that for you that uses less memory than Cortana. Like me, you don't really need that feature anyways.
