How to Unroot Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100

Requirements:

- Rooted Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100, either with a custom ROM or not
- Odin 1.85 - http://stockroms.net/file/Tools/ODIN/Odin3v185.zip
- Samsung Kies - http://www.samsungapps.com/about/onPc.as
- Official Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100 Firmware - http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I9100

Guide:

1. Download Odin 1.85 and Samsung Kies. Once done, head over here to download your country's official Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100 firmware. Moreover, if your Smartphone came locked on a specific network carrier you can find it from the list too. Alternatively, you can download the Polish firmware as it's updated. Don't forget to extract the contents of the zip file to a folder. If you're from the Philippines, you can download the official ICS Firmware (I9100DXLP7_I9100OLBLP7_XTC).

2. Switch off your Samsung Galaxy S2 and put it in Download Mode by pressing Volume Down + Menu Button + Power Button.

3. Connect your Galaxy S2 to your computer with the Micro-USB cable. Press the Volume Up button to enter Download Mode.

4. Run Odin, click on PDA and look for the extracted folder of the official stock firmware. We're looking for a particular filename with the following format -- "I9100DXLP7_I9100OLBLP7_XTC.tar".

5. Click Start and give it a few minutes for it to flash the official Samsung stock firmware to your Samsung Galaxy S2. The device would automatically restart too.

6. If you are coming from a custom ROM or Kernel it would usually get stuck at the Samsung boot screen. This is normal due to platform issues. Nevertheless, remove the battery from the Galaxy S2 and disconnect all cables. Insert the battery back in and instead of turning it on, access Recovery Mode by pressing Volume Up + Menu Button + Power Button for 10 seconds. The screen would flash twice.

7. Once in Recovery Mode, do a Wipe Data/Factory Reset and Wipe Cache Partition. Lastly, reboot your phone and everything should be in working order.
