Comparing the Huawei P30 Pro versus Samsung's Galaxy S10+ to see which smartphone is best for speed, camera tech, UI features, battery life and beyond.

I've switched to the P30 Pro from the Galaxy S10+ to test it ahead of my full review and so far these are my favourite new mobiles of 2019. Huawei's handset compares favourably, even if the benchmark performance isn't as strong and the S10 Plus is better for media (thanks to the Dynamic OLED QHD+ screen and stronger audio chops). For one, the camera offers stronger night performance and that impressive 5x optical zoom feature, while the Super Charge battery tech is also superior to Samsung's smartphone.

That said, the S10+ does boast better video recording options, including HDR and 4K at 60FPS.

Both mobiles can blast through the latest games like PubG Mobile, with comparable quality and performance. And I love the UI on both handsets as well, with the P30 Pro serving up Huawei's latest EMUI 9.1 and Samsung dishing up some fresh One UI action on top of Android Pie.
