LG Velvet Dual Screen VS. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 - Quick Comparison

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is a beautiful phone with a folding screen and offers plenty of top line specs and multitasking, but comes at a hefty $2000 price tag. The LG Velvet comes in at $599-$699 for just the phone itself, add in the dual screen and add $200. Still coming in at under $1k you get a decent multitasking machine.

So being that these phones are far away in price I wanted to do a quick comparison of them. LG has definitely come up with a compelling method for multitasking on it's Velvet, V60 and other phones with the Dual Screen offering and can hold its own. The Dual screen case offers an exact duplicate 6.8" display on the Velvet with a 1080P resolution at 60hz, The displays are bright, vivid and of course is OLED.

The Z Fold 2 offers 2 screens on it as well with a more traditional 6.2" AMOLED display on the front and a large 7.6" inner display. Comparing displays the Samsung wins by a long shot with both displays offering higher resolution and the inner display offering 120hz. The Z Fold 2 offers a good multitasking experience as well with up to 6 or more apps on screen at once.

While personally I love the Z Fold 2's experience, I still feel that the Velvet offers a fantastic experience for the money. You don't have to shell out $2k for a great phone with a large or dual screens. Heck you could even get the Fold 1 and get a great experience for under $1k.
