Haven't you ever wished you had a cigarette lighter outlet inside the armrest compartment in one of these older S class cars? Well, I did and figured out a way to run a power cable from the back of the front cigarette lighter (inside the ashtray) all the way underneath the center console to the back and then into the deeper of the two center console compartments without drilling any holes.

This will enable you to have an extra charging outlet or an outlet for a Bluetooth device. The beauty of this approach is that

1) The new cigarette lighter outlet will be fed from the same source that feeds power to the front lighter outlet; therefore, it will not come on unless the key is turned.

2) Additionally, it is protected by the same F11 fuse (front left fuse bank) requiring no additional fusing.

3) Also, if you use it for Bluetooth pairing with your phone for music or Google Auto, etc..., it will come on automatically as you start the car.

4) And finally, the Bluetooth device can remain hidden permanently in the center console eliminating the need to insert/remove into/from front cigarette lighter outlet every time you get in/out of the car.
