When a GI platoon lands on the beaches of Italy during WWII, the troops face uncertainty and danger with every step. Those who survive the initial landing, including Sgt. Tyne and Sgt. Ward, pursue a mission. Between marching banter and quick dashes under pressure, they outfox patrols, secure the house, and move to disable the bridge, keeping the mission front and center.
