Review of Samsung's Galaxy S10 Lite after a week of using it as my personal smartphone, including a look at the camera tech, PubG performance, battery life and One UI experience. This reimagined version of the original Samsung flagship sports more basic specs and features, for a cheaper asking price. But the Galaxy S10 Lite is still too expensive and lacking vs rivals like the OnePlus 8, which costs almost the same but offers more speed, 5G support, 90Hz display tech and more.

Here in the UK, you can pick it up from £38 a month on Vodafone, or £569 SIM free

I'd say, if you're set on grabbing a Samsung phone, try and find a good deal on the original S10 instead of buying this. Alternatively you can snaffle a Galaxy A51 for around £300 and that'll do most people just fine. The camera tech here isn't much more advanced, while the A-series smartphone still delivers a strong media setup. You can even play PubG Mobile with a respectable frame rate.

Or if you're willing to look elsewhere, check out the excellent OnePlus 8. This premium phone is one of the best around that £500-600 asking price, boasting stronger battery life, a telephoto camera and the latest Snapdragon 865 platform with 5G support. Overall it's a much better mobile, so have a squint at my full review for all you need to know.
