Learn how you can play YouTube videos on the background while turning off the screen on the Samsung Galaxy S4.

If you are using the normal YouTube player, when the screen turn off or when you are switching to another application, then YouTube will immediately cease to play the video. So to allow YouTube video to play on the background you can use a third party app on from the PlayStore.

One of the apps you could use is the NextVid app, it allows you to line up a list of videos in the playlist. So if you are watching a music video, you can turn off the screen and have the phone play the music. This is great if you want to save battery power and at the same time still being able to listen to the video audio.
