Samsung Galaxy SII i9100 - Custom ROM & Root - INSTALL TUTORIAL

Samsung Galaxy SII - i9100 - tutorial to install any Custom Android ROM, ROOT ONLY IN DESCRIPTION(very easy procedure). Read full description!

Files you need:
- Odin flasher
- Samsung i9100(if you have root & CWM skip steps 1 to 5, start from 6)
- Samsung drivers(Install kies if you do not want to search the internet for them)
- Jeboo Kernel with PhillZ CWM(I use this one - v1.2a - it worked very good on all i9100 i tested - download link: http://d-h.st/BBB / xda-thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2062208 )
- Any Custom ROM( I used Chameleon v3.0.4 Samsung/AOKP hybrid, very stable and AOKP available, best DPI settings can be achived(watch the tutorial) - download here: http://d-h.st/RpS / xda-thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1847600 )
! THIS TUTORIAL USED ANDROID 4.1.2 BASED ROM IF YOU NEED TO INSTALL ANY OTHER VERSION USE A KERNEL FOR THE SAME VERSION


Tutorial for CWM & Root:
1. Put the phone in Download mode(Power off phone, Hold Volume down + Home key + Power key)
2. Connect the USB cable from the PC to the phone
3. Open ODIN, select in the PDA field the kernel that you want to use. In the option box select only auto-reboot
4. Flash the kernel if all good you will get a PASS message in ODIN and the phone will restart
5. After the phone restarts take out the battery in order to shut it down

Tutorial for Custom ROM:
6. Hold the Volume UP+Home keys and power up the phone, you should get in the Recovery Mode
7. Wipe data/factory reset
8. Wipe clean to install a new ROM
9. Install zip - Choose zip from sdcard - Select your zip file(the ROM)
+ IF THE ROM REQUIRES GAPPS NOW IT'S THE MOMENT TO DO IT, FLASH IT THE SAME AS YOU DID THE ROM! The one that I used does not need gapps
10. Enter Advanced - Wipe Dalvik Cache
11. Wipe cache
12. Reboot

The first startup will take some time because the system is installing some components but after that enjoy your new phone.
