New Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G - Samsung unveils Tri-Folding Display and Sliding Keyboard

Two future devices may have been indirectly teased by Samsung. The company has published two sketches of new devices on Samsung Display's blog that could plausibly arrive in the coming years as a real Samsung device.

A system with a tri-folding monitor reimagines the Galaxy Fold in the first illustration. The Fold's need for an external monitor will be reduced by this new design, as it could fold down to a third of its unfolded footprint and use only the top part of the frame. The tiny logo reads "Samsung OLED" at the bottom of the drawing.

This idea of a rollable display that can stow away into a small footprint can be very appealing, but the only obvious drawback seems to be that it will only be feasible to use such a delicate display on a desktop surface. The next drawing imagines a rollable display that stocks away into a tube size. More than the 'mobility' of such a commodity, the appeal here is the 'portability'.

While Samsung does not specifically announce that devices such as these imagined will be released, it certainly paints the impression that Samsung Display is capable of producing panels for such devices.

Sooner than later, one of the devices may be a reality.
