The new Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5 by Samsung Electronics have helped the company achieve record pre-sales for foldable smartphones.
Both went on sale at midnight on Monday and Samsung says that pre-orders are 1-point-9 times higher than the previous models.
So far, the cheaper, Galaxy Z Flip 5 has seen higher sales than the Z Fold 5.
The top-of-the-range 256-gigabyte model costs nearly one-thousand-one-hundred U.S. dollars.
Pre-orders will continue until August 7th before both models go on full sale in South Korea next Friday.
Both were unveiled last Wednesday at the Galaxy Unpacked event in Seoul they have larger displays and slimmer hinge mechanisms.
