Here are two ways you can factory reset your Galaxy S5.
You have the Internal reset method and external reset method (hardware method)
WARNING: YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR DATA. SO BACKUP IF YOU WISH TO KEEP YOUR STUFF!
Internal Reset Method:
Go to settings, scroll down till you see the title "User and Backup" section and within there select "Backup and reset"
External Reset Method (Hard Reset):
- power off phone
- then hold down three keys simultaneously (at the same time) Volume up key, home button & Power button
- Once Galaxy logo appears only let go of the power button
-Once you see the android guy then you can let go of the rest of the buttons
- Once you are in the recovery mode you want to select "wipe data/factory reset"
- then select 'delete all user data"
- then select "reboot system now"
- Now give your phone a few minutes and once booted up the phone should be just like when you first purchased it brand new.
