This will work on Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge with updated Android Nougat 7 version to a Samsung smart tv. Remember they call it smart view now not screen mirror.

If you want to mirror these Galaxy phones to a nonsmart TV you have a tons of options like using chromecast, screenbeam mini2, Roku etc. you also have wired devices you can mirror with as well. There are pros and cons to all of them. I have a ton of videos on screen mirroring these phones on my channel. Some require a wifi network and other don't it's a direct connection.
