Hi!
If your old laptop is lagging and literally takes tons of time to just double click though, it is time to consider changing your hard disk.
SSD based laptop has been in market since 2018, so any laptops / computers prior to that most probably using HDD which is obviously has a slower process rate than SSD.
Steps to consider before changing from HDD to SSD:
1. Physical size of your HDD (2.5" / 3.5")
2. Storage size required (128GB / 256GB / 512GB/ 1TB / 2TB)
Requirements before the swap:
1. An HDD installed laptop
2. SSD
3. SATA III to USB cable
4. Cloning software
Steps to swap the HDD to SSD: (refer video)
1. Install cloning software first of all
2. Insert your SSD to the laptop
3. Start by cloning your HDD into SSD
4. Ensure the cloning is done perfectly
5. Dismantle the HDD from your laptop
6. Fix in the SSD inside the slot.
7. Turn on your laptop as usual.
8. Boot option will pop up, and proceed with the windows installation/update.
9. The swaping is done.
10. You can do speed test with the software provided below.
